Dental Implants in Wyoming, MI

A permanent solution for missing teeth—built to last and made to feel natural.

If you’re missing one or more teeth and want a solution that looks, feels, and functions just like the real thing, dental implants may be the answer. At Solt Family Dental in Wyoming, Michigan, Dr. Kevin Solt provides customized implant care to help patients restore their smiles with strength, stability, and confidence.

WHAT ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS

Dental implants are small titanium posts surgically placed into the jawbone to act as artificial roots for replacement teeth. Once the implant integrates with the bone, it provides a secure foundation for a crown, bridge, or denture. Because implants mimic the natural structure of teeth, they feel and function just like your own.

ARE DENTAL IMPLANTS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Most healthy adults are good candidates for implants. You should have healthy gums, sufficient bone to support the implant, and a commitment to maintaining excellent oral hygiene. In some cases, a bone graft or sinus lift may be recommended to build up the jaw before placement. Chronic conditions like uncontrolled diabetes or the use of tobacco can affect healing, so we carefully review your health history to ensure the best outcomes.

Implant Restorations at Solt Family Dental

Once your dental implant has healed and integrated with the bone, it’s time for the final step: the restoration. At Solt Family Dental, we design and place custom implant restorations that match the look and feel of your natural teeth.

For single implants, this means placing a lifelike crown that blends seamlessly with your smile. For multiple missing teeth, we may design an implant-supported bridge or denture, depending on your needs. Using digital scanning and high-quality materials, we craft restorations that are durable, comfortable, and tailored to you.

Even if your implant was placed elsewhere, we’re happy to evaluate it and complete the restoration here in our office. We can also repair or replace older implant restorations if they’ve become loose, worn, or damaged over time.

Dr. Solt’s attention to detail and commitment to personalized care means your final result won’t just be functional—it’ll feel like your own tooth was never missing.

WHAT TO EXPECT

WHAT TO EXPECT

Your implant journey starts with a comprehensive evaluation and 3D imaging to plan precise placement. During the surgical phase, the implant post is placed into your jawbone. Healing typically takes a few months, allowing the bone to fuse with the implant in a process called osseointegration. Once healed, a custom-designed crown, bridge, or denture is attached, completing your fully restored smile.
In certain cases, a temporary tooth can be placed on the same day as the implant for immediate function and aesthetics.

CARING FOR IMPLANTS

CARING FOR IMPLANTS

Maintaining your implant is similar to caring for natural teeth. Brush twice daily with fluoride toothpaste, clean between your teeth every day, and attend regular dental checkups. Specialized floss, interdental brushes, or water flossers may be recommended to clean around the implant effectively. Good oral hygiene and professional maintenance are essential to keeping your implant healthy and strong for years to come.

TYPES OF IMPLANTS

  • Single Tooth Implants: Replace one missing tooth with an implant and custom crown without affecting neighboring teeth.
  • Implant-Supported Bridges: Restore several missing teeth using implants for stable support instead of relying on natural teeth.
  • Implant-Supported Dentures: Secure a full arch of teeth with strategically placed implants, eliminating the need for adhesives or worrying about slippage.
