Dr. Tony Chhay

Associate Dentist

Dr. Tony Chhay’s passion for dentistry is deeply rooted in his upbringing, which instilled in him a commitment to serving others in his community. He views dentistry as a powerful way to make a meaningful impact—helping patients not only achieve the confident smiles they’ve always wanted but also supporting their overall health and well-being. For Dr. Chhay, patient comfort and experience are always top priorities, and everyone who walks through the doors at Solt Family Dental is treated like family.

Dr. Chhay earned his Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from The University of Texas at Austin and went on to complete his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. Following dental school, he pursued advanced training through a General Practice Residency at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. He is dedicated to continuously refining his clinical skills and values the lifelong learning that comes with caring for his community.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Chhay enjoys spending time with his wife, Darya, and baby daughter, Leila. Together, they love exploring hiking trails, discovering new foods, and taking in the world around them. He’s also a fan of binge-worthy TV shows and visiting local breweries—and always welcomes recommendations!

Ashley

Hygienist

Ashley graduated from the Dental Hygiene program at Ferris State University in 2013 and has been working as a hygienist ever since. She joined the team at Solt Family Dental in October 2024.

Ashley is passionate about helping patients develop healthy oral habits to support their overall health and achieve their dental goals. She values building strong patient relationships based on trust and aims to create a welcoming and comfortable experience for everyone who walks through the doors.

Outside of the office, Ashley enjoys vacationing, reading, crafting, and spending time with her husband and their three children. With all of her kids involved in sports and activities, life stays busy, and much of their summer is happily spent boating on Hamlin Lake in Ludington.

Keyrsten

Hygienist

Keyrsten has been in the dental field since 1999 and found her professional home and work family at Solt Family Dental in 2000. She values the time spent with patients—getting to know their families, learning their interests, and building relationships based on trust. She believes that trust opens the door to meaningful conversations about oral health, which helps patients maintain healthy, lasting smiles.

In her role, Keyrsten provides regular and periodontal cleanings, takes X-rays, offers preventive treatments, and shares personalized oral hygiene guidance. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique concerns and enjoys helping them improve and maintain their dental health with practical, at-home tips.

Outside the office, Keyrsten enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons. Much of her free time is spent cheering them on at sporting events. She also loves being outdoors, with the beach being her favorite place to relax.

Melanie

Hygienist

Melanie graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Grand Rapids Community College in 2022 and is thrilled to be part of the team at Solt Family Dental. Having grown up in the Grandville/Wyoming area, she takes pride in working within the community she has called home her entire life.

Melanie enjoys building strong relationships with her patients, supporting them in their oral health journey, and providing personalized education. She has a passion for the preventive side of dental hygiene and loves helping patients develop healthy habits. Two of her favorite tools to recommend are electric toothbrushes and water flossers.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys spending time with her boyfriend, Matt. Together, they love making things from scratch—especially homemade pasta. She also enjoys taking walks and spending time outdoors, embracing the beauty of Michigan’s seasons.

Marisa

Dental Assistant

Marisa joined Solt Family Dental in June 2023 and has been a valued member of the team ever since. She was trained on the job, quickly finding that dental assisting was a natural and fulfilling career path for her.

As a dental assistant, Marisa supports Dr. Chhay and Dr. Solt during procedures by handing instruments, setting up operatories, sterilizing rooms and instruments, and taking diagnostic X-rays. What she loves most about her role is the hands-on nature of dentistry and the fact that every procedure brings a unique challenge. She considers her position at Solt Family Dental a true blessing and is proud to be part of such a supportive and skilled team.

Outside the office, Marisa enjoys spending time with family and friends. She’s the middle child of five siblings and stays active by playing volleyball and soccer. She also has a musical side, having grown up playing both the violin and piano.

Tessa

Dental Assistant

Tessa began her dental assisting career right after high school by enrolling in a technical program, graduating in April 2024. She started working at Solt Family Dental in January 2024 and has since been trained by Dr. Solt and the experienced assistant team. She is certified in dental radiography and continues to expand her clinical skills every day.

At Solt Family Dental, Tessa assists both Dr. Solt and Dr. Chhay with procedures, prepares and sterilizes rooms and instruments, and takes diagnostic X-rays. She also helps support the hygiene team with room turnover and instrument sterilization. Tessa loves the warm, team-oriented environment at SFD and is grateful to be part of a practice that feels like family.

When she’s not at the office, Tessa enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially at her family’s cottage in the summer. She loves being outdoors, traveling throughout the year, and spending as much time by the lake as possible.

Courtney

Scheduling Coordinator

As the Full-Time Scheduling Coordinator at Solt Family Dental, Courtney plays a key role in keeping the day running smoothly. She manages the schedule, checks patients in and out, and often reaches out when earlier appointments become available. Courtney enjoys the fast-paced nature of her role and values the opportunity to connect with patients while continuing to learn and grow each day. She feels truly fortunate to be part of such a supportive and dedicated team.

In her free time, Courtney loves spending time with her husband, Josh, and their dog, Luna. Together, they enjoy taking weekend road trips to nearby states and soaking in the fresh air and new experiences.

Jess

Financial Coordinator

Jess is the Financial Coordinator at Solt Family Dental, bringing over 20 years of experience in the dental field. She began her career as a registered dental assistant and gradually transitioned into administrative roles, eventually finding her place at the front desk.

At SFD, Jess manages the financial operations of the office, including insurance processing, patient billing, and payment agreements. She takes pride in ensuring patients receive the support they need to understand and manage their dental care. Jess loves the collaborative and family-like environment at Solt Family Dental and is grateful to work alongside such a dedicated team.

Outside the office, Jess enjoys spending quality time with her two daughters, two puppies, and two cats. She also loves traveling, playing volleyball, and making memories with friends and family.
